DiStefano Company provides appraisal and valuation consulting services for commercial real estate. The firm specializes in valuations of mid-size and larger commercial properties (industrial, office, retail in no particular order), as well as complex and unusual properties (leaseholds, specialized uses such as pari-mutuel race tracks, waterfront commercial properties). The firm provides litigation support and expert testimony, as well as estate-tax valuations and going-concern valuations.

Geographic areas

Areas served are primarily Southern California—Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and San Diego Counties—and occasionally in Northern California and other states.

Clients

Clients include lenders (commercial banks, life insurance companies, and mortgage bankers), property owners, public agencies, and attorneys.

Operations

The business is in its twenty-first year of operation. Carl DiStefano MAI ASA has 37 years of real estate experience including employment as an appraiser, acquisitions and development officer, construction loan officer, and loan workout manager. After receiving his MBA from Stanford and spending the first 16 years of his career in corporate real estate positions, he established himself as an independent real estate appraiser in 1990. The office is in the Airport Office District in Newport Beach.
